Got a .350 Mag. Seems like it would be THE caliber, since the whole concept started around it. Although the .308 is probably more practical, to be honest.
Good luck with 6.5 Mag brass, this may have been the worst selling cartridge in post-WWII history. That or the 8MM Mag. Although in a 22 or 24 inch barrel, it is much more versatle than a .25-06. Get the .308, can't get too much of a good thing. And let a little dust collect on the 6.5...............it might be worth something, someday. NO, not a year's tuition at Duke, but enough of an increase to catch your attention. Weird, no one buys them when they sit on dealer's shelves, they become discontinued, and it seems like half of America was asleep, and missed out, and wants one now.
Must have been the mindset at Remington, to get back into this whole ribbed-rifle thing.
