Remington .45-90
« on: October 28, 2004, 03:59:13 PM »
Looking at a remington .45-90 today at the gunshop.  Great looking gun but I am not familar with these.  Could you buy factory amo at all our would you have to reload?  Would supply of casings be a problem.  I have a marling .45-70 but like the single shot ... just hinking out loud.

While current loaded ammo for the 45/90 exists, most folks who shoot them would reload their own. Each of these old guns seem to prefer loads built for only itself, and vanilla loads just won't do. Modern brass, dies, and bullets are available, but can be pricy compared to the 45/70. 8)
