i was thinkin of getting a h&r handi rifle in .223 for deer and varmits. can anyone give me a price of what i might pay for it? and how much shels would run?

Welcome to the site TrapperZach. Wally World is probably the cheapest place to get a Handi although there are deals to he had at Pawn Shops and Internet sites like GunsAmerica. Your looking at aprox. 200 bucks for the rifle and then what ever rings and scope ya want to hang on it. The 1 in 12 twist prefers bullets below  55 grain. Wally World has Winchester White box Value pack(40 round boxes)  45 grain .223 for a really cheap price....I don't remember how much right off the top of my head but they seem to shoot really well in everyones handi....Hope this helps and I'm sure others will chime in.....do a search on the sight for 223 and you'll get alot of info that may answer all your questions... :D

New Handi rifles sell for $189.99 most everywhere here, seen em on sale for $159.99 sometimes.
