Greyhawk sights
« on: October 29, 2004, 10:34:24 AM »
Anyone have a T/C Greyhawk and figured out how to put a peep sight on it? I don't want the set and forget type that T/C sells. I want a sight that I can change elevation during competition like the ones Lyman sells. I have not found a Lyman or Williams sight that will fit. All the companies claim they do not have a sight for the Greyhawk.

I can't see why the t/c ppeep sight won't work on the rifle ,I would say the gray hawk is the same as my new englander.
I hope the link opens

I think the New Englander and the Greyhawk are very similar. Problem is the T/C sight is a screwdriver set sight that works for one setting but does not easily change for elevation corrections which I might need for target competition. Unless I misunderstand the descriptions I have been given.

Keith Lewis: the new englander and the gray hawk are the same guns except for the rifle twist and stock. The rear peep has more then enough when it comes to elevation corrections. There is a bar that the peep fit into that has a set screw to move for up and down for height (more then enough)
I found that you will have to set the peep about 1/2 back from the first hole on the rear tang,t/c states to use the last acrew on the tang and redrill one screw.it won't work you have to dig your check into the stock for proper aligment.
I did drill two new holes into the tang very simple job but you will need a drill press, also you would have to buy the peep that fits the new englander .

I understand; but the problem with the T/C sight is that it is not instantly adjustable to shoot two or three different distances by having more than one setting which is possible with the Lyman 57 series sights.
