Best digital media?
« on: April 22, 2004, 05:20:59 AM »
Anybody care to comment on what is the best or most user-friendly digital camera media?  I see all kinds of stuff, ranging from what seems to be the common Compact Flash, to fairly common SD/MMC, to Smart Media, on to proprietary Sony Sticks.  The only digital camera I have experience with is a Fuji that uses SM, so I coud use some input related to media for an upcoming digital camera purchase.

Thanks!

Compact flash is without question the best.

It's available in faster versions than any of the other types.  The fastest now are at 80x that's 80 times faster than standard cards and about 76 times faster than the fastest memory stick

It's more durable.

It's more common and thus cheaper

It comes in larger sizes.  I think they are up around 10 gig on them now.

There's Fishing and then there's Bass Fishing
Its kinda like the difference between Sandlot Baseball and Playing on the Team.
The difference is Practice
