Cleaning bolt assembly?

I happen to have a Knght T-Bolt but I imagine this topic applies to all bolt action in-lines.  I also shoot 777 & musket caps but perhaps different powders/ignition would suggest different replies:  How necessary is it to disassemble the bolt assembly for cleaning?  Why would it be more necessary than say a centerfire bolt action?  For me this is the most time consuming procedure in the clean-up and actually makes it more complex than my side-lock percussion.  Thanks; rebAL.

When I had a Knight, I always took it apart to clean after shooting. It was always dirty in the bolt area. You get blow back from shooting any black powder or propellent in the bolt area. No that I have gone to Encore's only I don't have to worry about that. My buddy switch also for just that reason.  :D

Thanks Redhawk;  Mine never seems to get very dirty, but I`ve never shot more than 10 shots at once, & more than 90 grains of 777/fff.  I wonder if I could spray the whole bolt assembly off with something like gun scrubber without disassembly.
