I second the no-cowboy loads. They are designed for a completely different use, and their slow, round-nosed lead bullets are not suited for hunting. They will kill of course, but others will do a much better job.
While I prefer jacketed bullets for deer hunting with my .45LCs, I have used cast bullets on a number of deer. To work properly, cast bullets must have flat noses, and the larger the flat the better. My favorite cast bullet - don't laugh - is the Lee 250 RF. It has a long bearing surface for it's size, a very large meplat, and it sits deep in the large .45LC case for better loading density, especially with bulky powders like BlueDot. For loads in the 1000-1200 fps range it is accurate and very effective.
