T7 pellet weight question.

I just weighed my T7 pellets and 3-50's weighed 91.05 grains now here's my question, they say that is 150 grains by volume equivilent,  how do they come to that, and are my weights the same as others who have weighed there charges? Most of my pellets were consistent in weight, per 3 pellets just off by max of 2 grains.

Weight by grains is different then Volume. When I weigh 2 triple7 pellets, I get 60.5 grains by weight. When I weigh 100 grains of triple7 FFg powder I get 63.2 grains by weight. But loose triple7 varies when weighed. If you measure out 100 grains of triple7 powder and weigh it you will be close in weight but not always right on. The grains of powder are not consistent in size so the charge will vary. That is why if you take 10 weight measurements and average them and use that number you will come up with a weight measurement you can weigh all the time for consistency.  Now triple7, pyrodex and black powder will not all weigh the same for the same volume charge due to the powder density. Hope I did not confuse you more.
