52 Sporterized Squirrel sniper
« on: November 24, 2004, 02:43:34 PM »
I recently acquired a Win. Model 52, 26" sporter bbl. The bolt, barrel & action are all in pretty good good condition. The stock is pretty much junk, all the bottom metal is gone, including the trigger-guard.
I found a stock on E-bay with all the bottom metal on it. Just what I needed to make a $500 rifle out of a $40 rifle. (Yea , $40 is what I gave for it) Any way , some #@&*^# E-bay sniper bought the stock out from under me with 4 seconds left.   BUT, I have a factory syn. Savage 10FP  stock , I did a little dremel work and the 52 sets right in it and looks good.
I havent finshed it yet, but it should be a wicked single shot squirrel sniper rifle when I am done with it.
Please write me off of GB outdoors, I do not want to be a part of it any more.

Deactivated as requested.

Well, I guess that's how it goes on bidding sites like E-bay.  Maybe that is the best thing to do; wait till 3-7sec are left, THEN cast your bid.  Seems like pretty smart bidding anyhow; sorry to hear you were on the receiving end.  What chambering is your rifle and how has it grouped?  Sounds like a really good tackdriver, according to what you said. :D   Patriot
