teflon taping breech plug

is it standerd practice to put teflon tape on an in-line breech plug to help better seal?

Hey BUCK,

     The reason some guys use Teflon Tape on the breech plug is not for a better seal but to make it easier to remove the breech plug after shooting.  I use the high pressure Pink tape with grease on my Huntsman and White Rifles and it helps to prevent a seized plug.  Don't forget, if you are going to try it get the Pink and not the regular White tape.  You can find it at Lowe's and Home Depot.  Good Luck.
