The trigger on my Buckmark was too heavy (9+ pounds) from the factory so I had a gunsmith do a trigger job to lighten it to a reasonable weight (about 4 pounds.) The trigger pull later developed a bit of a creep so I opened the gun and thoroughly cleaned it and lubed it with spray dry moly lube everywhere except the sear/hammer engagement point and the rod for the recoil spring and where the slide rubs the frame.
The slide and the hammer/sear engagement point was lubed with Brownell's Action Lube, and the rod for the recoil spring was lubed with FP10.
The trigger pull is excellent now, and the procedure was not all that difficult. However, the Buckmark does have small parts that drop off when you remove the grip panels, so remove them carefully and note where everything belongs. Study an exploded view before proceeding so you know what parts do what.
My only regret is that I paid to have the trigger job done. The hammer was worked with an arkansas stone. It's so well exposed that I could have easily done that procedure, perhaps without even removing the hammer from the frame.
This gun has been very satisfactory and I admire the construction and design. I use it more and more, although I have other rimfires.
