Making your own holster?
« on: November 02, 2004, 03:17:38 PM »
This might be a bit off topic, but I have the urge to try my hand at holster making.  I'd specifically like to make a Tom Threepersons style holster for my 7.5" Ruger Bisley.  Anyone tried holstermaking and if so can you recommend some good sources of materials and maybe a good book or video on the subject?  Appreciate any help.

Look for a Tandy store. If you have one in your area they usually have classes. Other wise you can order leather and supplies by phone or online. That is what i did.

Scroll down to the leather working forum. Tons of good advice there. Im thinking of trying this myself. I have made a few knife sheathes but never anything like a gun holster. I like the Threepersons too. Keep us posted how you come out. :D
