wondering, if from you sendero owners, what do you think about the rifle weight. i own a ruger m77 .25/06 w/the medium contour barrel that hits the 10lb. mark fully loaded and rigged. i carry it with no real difficulty. i'm thinking about the 700 sendero sf in either a shortmag or standard .7mm/.300mag. version for hunting foothill country. the sf weighs 8.5lbs which is about 1/2 - 1lb. heavier that the common boltaction. do you think the sendero is too much rifle for western hunting? it sure feels solid.
