Depends.. the last one I paid $360.00 here at a local gun store.

But I can bet that it will go much higher by the time the bidding is done.

When I bought mine about 3 years ago, I paid $350 and that was low bid of about 5 quotes, plus they were hard to get.

I finally say one of these.  It is much lighter than I expected.  The stock is definitely better grade than the rest of the HR/NEF guns.  Bass Pro has one for 330.  The buttplate sure doesnt feel like it wants to minimize much recoil though!!!  Its kind of narrow and pointy at the bottom.

Price don't look bad until you add on the $22 shipping, your dealer's charge, and state sales tax at your end. By then, you're up over $400 and it looks real bad.

The buttplate fits nicels, but it does not cushion recoil at all.  Funny, though, I got used to it with all but the wildest loads.  There is no getting used to that!

A full charge Marlin load of 4198 behind a 400gr pill just plain hurts from my end and I hope I never find out from the otherside.

I put a slip on recoil pad on mine. Also took butt plate off and filled stock with lead shot. Really help's tame recoil.
Since Iv'e found a nice lite load I may undo all of the above.
I found a load my gun just love's.
       16.0 Gr. CLAY'S
405 REM. Jacketed flat nose bullet.
       1-2" at 100 yds.
Haven't chronoed the load yet, but I think it will be more then enough for deer!! :-)

I just bought one from my local dealer and could have gotten it even lower priced from Wal Mart (around $285 + tax , etc.) but I'd rather spend my money with someone I know. We pay 6% sales tax here in PA so my price including taxes & $5 fee was under $335. And, the distributor had it in stock.

Shot it today for the first time, but only at 50 yds. Of three loads tried, one looks promising with a 5 shot group of about 1.5".
