I have not shot it, nor will I anytime soon. Since it does not have iron sights, I have to still set it up, but I have been too busy bowhunting.
I have found a used scope for sale locally, but I need to save up a bit for it. It is a Leupold 1.5 x 5 with an illuminated recticle, obviously not cheap. I have an idea, I don't know if it is a good one, but here it is. I want to get weaver style mounts for the 7400, which I already have on my rifled shotgun. I have an AR-15 coming in, which has a picatinny rail on the riser block for optics. What I am thinking about doing is getting some Warne Maxima weaver style quick detatchable rings for the scope, and using it on the shotgun, rifle, and the AR-15 when coyote hunting. I would have to keep track of how many clicks to adjust to each guns zero, but I can document that on a card and keep it handy.
I can justify spending the money for the scope if it will be used as "three scopes." Does this seem like it will work, or am I nuts?
