Calling all you NEF 30-30 cast bullet shooters!!

I'm considering the lee molds for my 30-30 and am looking at the 308-180r and the 309-200r.  Any first hand experiences out there?  I've been shooting some commercial 150 GC bullets and like them just fine but want to go to a heavier GC design.

BTW, what results were reported back by the guys who ordered one of those Lee special order 30-30 spitzer molds?

I'm using the 180 gr. mold, soft lead, 25 grains of IMR 4395, in a Marlin 336.  I haven't chronographed them yet but they seem to do okay.  I haven't gotten out to really wring the load out yet, though.  very little recoil.

Longcruise, I have one of the 200 gr. Specials. It does well for me at 1700 fps from a .308 Mauser, but I don't have a .30-30.

I'm guessing you meant 4895?  It's good news that they are shootable in the 336.  Had thought they might load a bit long to cycle.  Wonder if they would cycle through a '94?

Would be interesting to push it to the 2200 to 2300 fps range.  Suddenly becomes a deer bulllet!! :-)
