This sucks !
« on: December 07, 2004, 11:47:47 AM »
I know people pass away everyday but this really caught my attention. For one- I work at the same place this gentlemen retired from (I did not know him), and I have a soft spot for Vet's, especially Vietnam vet's! My dad served in Vietnam with the 25th ID! He retired with a nice pension and good benefits and didn't even get to enjoy one year! Sometimes life just doesn't seem to be fair! :(

New York Hunter,
Considering this is December 7th...the anniversary of the Pearl Harbor Invasion, I commend you for remembering a war veteran, especially one that served as a Green Beret in 'Nam.
Thank You for remembering one of our country's heros.
God Bless him and his family.

Jim

I thank God for all the vets, both living and dead, for what they have done for my country and me.   I also thank God that I am able to enjoy my retirement.   I have seen way too many workers that didn’t get to do that.   I even worked with one guy that died in an accident at work 2 weeks before his last day.   All I can say is life didn’t come with any guarantees so we all need to make the most of what time we are given.
