Looking for .32 or .36 flintlock
« on: November 14, 2004, 06:34:41 PM »
I would like to purchase a .32 or .36 caliber black powder rifle at a good deal.  I prefer flintlock but would consider the right percussion.  I am also looking for a TC Hawken flintlock for parts; I do not need the barrel or stock.  Thanks, wilded@austin.rr.com

I JUST BOUGHT A CABELA BLUE RIDGE IN .36. ONLY SHOT IT ONCE BUT WAS VERY HAPPY WITH RELIABILITY. SHOT LOW AT 50 YARDS AND GROUPS WERE A LITTLE BIG( 2-3 INCHES )BUT FOR THE FIRST TIME I DIDN'T THINK IT WAS TOO BAD. GOING TO TRY A THICKER PATCH.
CABELAS IN KANSAS CITY HAD IT ON SALE FOR 419.99.

Try a thicker patch and see if it prints higher.  ET
