The Handi Dropped A Moose
« on: November 14, 2004, 08:08:20 PM »
Shot a big cow Moose Friday morning with my 30-06 Handi.  250yd shoot, with a 180gr Nosler Partition to the forhead.  Head fell instantly, she never even kicked.  Absolutely, no meat damage on this one.  Meantime my Partner took three shots to drop one with his high priced, high kicking, Weatherby Magnium.  I keep telling him "Don't underestimate those Single-Shots".
Where is old Joe when we really need him?  Alaska Independence    Calling Illegal Immigrants "Undocumented Aliens" is like calling Drug Dealers "Unlicensed Pharmacists"
What Is A Veteran?
A 'Veteran' -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America,' for an amount of 'up to, and including his life.' That is honor, and there are way too many people in this country today who no longer understand that fact.

Great shot!  Always noticed a significant differance between hunters and shooters..if you get my drift.

Where did you get her?  Wish I could get into a moose, but the only ones we have close by are on the Unuk River which would be entirely too expeditionary for this old boy.  I may have to try for an elk permit on Etolin Island...  Good shooting, and enjoy dinners!
