???Extreme Shock Ammunition???
« on: November 20, 2004, 04:28:48 AM »
I was just roaming around the net and found this ammo awhile back. I thought about getting a box or two for my hog hunting trip next month but have heard much about it. I wanted some in 44 mag. but from the looks of it it would cause too much meat damage considering they dropped a 450 lb. boar with a 380. So what do you think a 44 mag would do to the same animal? The offer three different handgun rounds but don't know which to get. Here's their website: www.extremeshockusa.com

All of your opinions are welcome so feel free to comment.

I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

You forgot the "r" in "Extremeshockusa".

I would not use rounds meant for self defence on a hunt. That is a totally different situation calling for different bullets design. People are real wimps when it comes to what bullets are needed to stop them. There is too good of a chance of them not penetrating enough.

If it were me I would use a solid lead or flat point bullet from any of the major makers or if you are hunting with dogs maybe use one of their HP meant for hunting.
