Don't think that's gonna cut it. CA is likely the closest place to you with any real number of hogs. Might be a fence preserve operation closer. But you're not gonna find a hunt for $250, just not gonna happen. Trophy hog hunts run $400-$500 most places. If you travel to TX, TN or FL you might find a meat hog hunt for your price range but to get there you'll spent a lot more than $250 plus the cost of hunt after you get there.

Do a search on this forum.  A while back there was a guy that posted of a successful pig hunt somewhere in CO.  I don't recall any of the details other than the state though.

I think TX would be your best bet.  However, I doubt you're going to get it done for $250.  Most TX ranches with a good chance of getting a couple good eatin' sized pigs are going to charge $125-150 per day.  Make a two or three day hunt, add in travel costs, a license, and some food, and you're up over $500 or so.  Sorry, $250 just doesn't go far in the hunting world any more.  There a lot of decent operations around San Antonio.  Start looking now and find a good opening for the spring.  If you shop the airlines, you can probably get tickets into SA fairly cheap.  Many outfits down there will pick you up in SA for a nominal fee.  Southwest often has discount deals into SA that would probably be cheaper (and much faster) than driving.  Like I said, you'll have to double your budget at least, but by spending a little more I think you'll ensure that you have a better hunt and at least take home some meat.

The search feature is not working at this time due to the damage from the hacker who hit us the other day. It should be working tomorrow after Matt shuts the site down tonight for three hours for scheduled maintenance.

Hello Henry1, and hello to everyone at greybeards.
several Years ago I hunted Russian Boars at a place in Colbran Co.
It is just west from Grand Junction. It was a large fenced preserve, but it was a great trip, they had individual cabins, supplied great food, and the hunting was excellent, I got a huge boar.
Trouble is, right off hand I can't remember the name of the place, something Creek. I'll ask my hunting buddy if he remembers, he may even have some literature saved from the place.
However, it was more than $250, and that was several years ago.
