45-70 usedprice questions

i seen a handi in 45-70 at a gun show today. it had a "camo" laminate motecarlo stock with H&R medallion inlaid in itwith a cheaper scope had allthe rigs (hammer spur mount ect.) herwanted$301 with a box of ammo. it seemed a bit expensive / what do you think?  (it was the 22" barrel)

Seem a little high, you could get a new one set up with a decent scope for not much more than that.

Last time I checked you can buy a brand new Buff Classic right now on this site for $289.00 w/o sights, why pay more for a used Handi w/laminated stocks?....<><.... :?

I haven’t checked lately but am told you can go to Wal-Mart and for $189 plus tax and transfer fees you can order any Handi rifle (not the Buffalo Classic) that NEF/H&R makes, brand new.   You said a 22" barrel so it sure wasn’t the Buff.
