HOME INVASION SHOOTING
« on: January 08, 2005, 10:15:26 AM »
One of many here.
The Houston Police Department Homicide Division is searching for two men suspected of participating with a third man in an early morning home invasion at the Cove apartment complex at 9988 Windmill Lakes Blvd. Tuesday Jan. 4.
According to Sgt. T.C. Bloyd and Officer D.L. Robertson, during the invasion and an ensuing shootout, a 10 yr old boy and his mother Regina Marie Smith, 30, were shot. The pair were listed in stable condition at Ben Taub Hospital at press time.
It is unknown if either of the two men who fled the scene were injured; however, the third suspect, Marcus Dashawn Brown, 27, was shot in the head by apartment resident Eric Dewayne Milburn, 29. Ben Taub officials said the suspect is in extremely critical condition and is not expected to live. The police recovered the .40 caliber semiautomatic handgun the suspect was armed with.
Milburn, father of the victimized family, had just returned to the apartment at 6:30 a.m. when the trio kicked in the home's door and began shooting. The mother and son were shot as the family tried to retreat to a back bedroom.
The father made it to the bedroom, retrieved his weapon and returned fire at the invaders. No charges are expected to be filed against him.
Investigators said the nature of invasion, Milburn just having entered the apartment, suggested he may have been followed home.
The sought-after suspects fled the scene in what witnesses described as a silver Lincoln town car.

What would have been the outcome if Milburn's gun had been locked in a safe? If it had been unloaded? If he had not been allowed to have one?
Accidents happen with loaded weapon's but .
Not a bad neighborhood, close to a freeway, but not a ghetto.
Blessings
TEXAS, by GOD

Home invasion crimes should automatically be considered life threatening situations confronting residents, who should NOT be treated as criminals for using deadly force against interlopers. But, sadly, too many decent people are persecuted, if not prosecuted by politically correct authorities for defending themselves, their families, and their property for killing offenders.

I've had to defend my life on two separate occasions, so far. The first time I nearly went to prison for it, but was acquitted of the charges against me. The second time I didn't even report the incident for fear of being prosecuted again for self-defense.

When I was a child, two escaped convicts from a Federal prison broke into our home while we were attending a circus. They ransacked our home for food, and clothing. Of course they were eventually apprehended, but what if this desperate duo had violated our home while we were asleep.

Several years later, my parent's home was again invaded by an ex-con while they were both asleep. I happened to be awake upstairs when my mother screamed. I grabbed my Mossberg 500 and ran to their aid, but the thug had already fled the scene by the time I reached them. Thankfully, neither my mom, or dad had been physically harmed. Even though hard evidence existed to prove who the culprit was, no charges were ever filed against this creep.

If there is one sure thing I've learned since I've been breathing air in this crazy world, it's that equality under the law doesn't apply to law-abiding poor people. We're all classified as expendable bottom feeders by the powers that be in this classist society. But I refuse to become a victim to satisfy their self-righteous opinion that nice people never resort to violence.
If at first you don't succeed, by all means try again. But if this doesn't work, give up, because there is no sense in making a darn fool of yourself.
