Might as well. They've banned everything else except CRIME. It's alive and well in Great Britian.

Just why did United States kick England out U.S.A. along about 1776.
There banning, they wanted the colonies to give up their Flint Locks.

so much the pity another colorful tradition lost in a country of little but tradition.  And yes Dali Jane is a certifiable fox.  They have been protesting fox hunting for years.  While I lived there in 91-93 we went to see the local hunt form up in the square of our town( Bury St Edmunds) in Suffolk county.  I wished I had a digital picture to post of the pagentry.  It was great.  The horses groomed and trimmed to the nines.   The hunters in their pinks and the hounds.  The hounds always hunting in an uneven number called "so many couples and one".  The riders were served hot drinks by the serving wenches in costume from the Angel Hotel.  The loss of this is a mournable coming.   Mostly brought about by a bunch of citifools with nothing to their name and nothing in their future. Sadnessssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dali:

Have you seen Jayne lately?  A fox is not exactly the animal I would think of first as a description for her nowadays.  Hint:  Think Kirstey Alley.

I worked with some "working class" Brits a while back.  They were all anti-hunting.  Why?  Were they animal rights types?  NO!  They were against hunting because, ONLY because, the hated aristocracy were the only people who could do it!  It's a class thing; I can't do it, so I'll make it so that YOU can't do it either!

Perhaps they should be banished to "classless" society of communism, postulate Dali Llama. :-)

Such a ban is a tragedy...
For years I bred, trained and competed with Jack Russell Terriers.
Each of these little " athletes of the canine world" is a treasure unto itself.
The breed was started and developed with the fox hunters of Britain...and thank them for these remarkable little dogs.

Those "working class" Brits that voted against fox hunting, may well have put many other " working class" Brits out of a job...houndsmen, terriermen, Farriers, vets,  etc. etc.

Those "animal rights" types that voted against fox hunting may well have also sent some horseflesh to the French " abatoirs" (sp?) or butcher shops..well ahead of their time...
But then; rarely do we hear around here that Liberals are particularly smart!!!

Just like the Liberal animal rightists that release domesticated  mink to the wild...so they can either starve or become "easy pickings" for all the fox and 'yotes in the area...
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)
