BBQ -- thanks Butlerford45
« on: December 29, 2004, 12:14:42 PM »
Well, I spied on ol' Butlerford45   when he was slowly smokin' a pork tenderloin at his place in November -- noticed that he placed a pan of water in the grill :? ...hmmmm....

Today I tried a variation on the theme and it was great.
1.  Drink a marguerita
2.  Brown some ribs on the grill; med to high heat
3.  Baste the ribs with Butlerford45's secret (not anymore) BBQ sauce
4.  Place a pan of water on the grill
5.  Move the ribs onto a piece of tin foil on the top grill
6.  Put heat on low for 1.5 hours
7.  Drink another marguerita or three
8.  Eat them ribs

Heck, even the ol' lady liked the ribs and that's sayin' somethin'

Shucks.  Mr Quervo, Jose that is, is my wing-man.  We'll have to try that next time we visit. :-D

Just got leave denied for the second time at work...which is only the second time in 20 years...and that's not a good sign.  Maybe over the kids' Spring Break, if there's a quilt show (for the missus) anywhere near your place, we'll see if we can visit.  The missus will love the country, my daughter will love the critters, and my son and I just might love the fishin'.
