yottey,

Yeah I thought about getting a Dennis Quackenbush custom until I came accross the Steve Barnes Custom Air Guns and fell in love with his  Ranger Delta 32 Magnum model(200 fpe. version).  Steve also makes air rifles in calibers up to .50 that I remember seeing at his shop.  Go to http://www.glbarnes.com/ranger_delta.html and check them out.  Now if I can just track down my wallet.  Lawdog

I believe it is Gary Barnes, not Steve.... I just bought a .50 cal quackenbush and am waiting on a fill probe.  A friend had it and passed away  :(  His boys sold it to me... I am thinkin of a .308 if this works as well as I hear it will

Sorry for the delay... I ordered the fill probe and mine does not use it... had to send for another piece,,, I finall got all that and filled it. I shot about three shots way to close to tell much other than it really penetrates into a pine log end! I will have to get to a range to try much of anything. It has way too much power and noise for me to play with it at home. After I get used to it maybe but not yet... and not for alot of shots at home thats for sure. I made the mistake of aquiring several more airguns from the estate and haven't spent much time with any one yet. I will try to follow up.

yottey, Well I finally took the .50 out when we shot the muzzle loaders in prep for deer season. I hate pumping it up! I only shot 6 shots. The first target at 25 yards  was about an inch and a quarter and the two shots at 50 yards not much bigger. It was neat but I will have to spend time with the trigger to get used to it. A timney it ain't! I can't believe how light the gun is for its size. Not much recoil either.

DAQ Makes nice rifles, I have a .50 cal Bandit that I am going to make into a muzzleloader for Deer Season.

I wouldn't mind getting one of his .308's either!  He's working on another batch right now.
