I called to check the status on my.357 Magnum rifle today.They said it was ready to ship and should be shipped today or tommorow.I can't wait to get it back and shoot it.I hope they did a good job. :grin:

It will be about a month by the time it arrives here.I sent it in because it was puncturing primers,and I had them adjust the trigger.I didn't have any barrels fitted so I don't know how long that would take.

I got mine back in28 days with the 44 mag.and the Huntsman barrel. I've had it about 4 days now and I got a notice today through the mail that they had recieved it and that it was being processed. Any way I bloodied it today with a 100 yd. coyote shot. Have not seen a deer yet to try it on. Digger

Just wondering what gr of bullet were you shooting out of it? Did the yote run anywhere after you plasterd him? Hank.

How much($) allaround did it take to get your .44mag barrels mounted and shipped? Do they send em to an ffl dealer or strait to you? Hank.

v8r,

If you are handloading and continue to have a problem with the primers, try some small rifle primers.  They have a harder cup and the energy is almost the same as a small pistol primer so you don't have to change your load.  I use CCI 400's all the time in handgun and .357 Mag Handi loads.  I use small pistol primers (CCI 500) in .38 Special,  small rifle (CCI 400) in .357 Mag and small pistol magnum (CCI 550) in .360 DW that I shoot in the Handi.  I get a little better accuracy with the CCI 550 in the .360 DW, otherwise I would use the CCI 400.  I have never had a problem with S&W or Rugers firing the CCI 400.

You mail the rifle direct to NEF, they mail it direct back to you.  Sending a firearm to a gunsmith for repair does not entail going through a FFL, since there is no change of ownership.  Just don't ask them to mail it to someone else....

I was using a 300 gr. XTP with 22.3 grs. of H110 and seated within .010" of the lands. It was really weird,because I actually got to see him get hit with it,and it really slamed him to the ground. Same size hole on both sides. I normally use a 220 Swift on coyotes and you hardly ever get to see them hit,unless they are at least 400 yds. away. Digger

Thats awsome! Makes me want to get a .44 barrel for mine now! Was there much left of the hide though? We usualy shoot ours out here with .22-250 or a .223. Though I like the Freight Train Theory much better. Thanks for the info Winter and Ditch. Its absorbed into a file in my head. Somewhere. No realy guys, thanks. Henry.

Paul 5388,I am shooting only factory ammo.I don't have any reloading equipment yet.By the way,where do you live in east texas?Ever been to Wiley's Gun Shop?Last time I was in there a couple of months ago they had 2 buffalo classics and quite a few other H&r's and nef's in stock.My inlaws live in east texas  ,and my wife and i are trying to scrape enough money together to move there. :D
