Night hunting (where legal) presents you with two problems. First is having a scope with quality optics and coatings that will allow you to see with whatever ambient or artifical lighting you use. The second is the ability to see the cross hairs.

Many scopes out there have good enough optics to allow you to see the game but not the cross hairs. The various lighted cross hairs are a way to over come this as are to some extent the various extra thick cross hairs. None are perfect but all have advantages.

The Bushnell Firefly is one approach that works well. In a calling situation you could shine the light in to illuminate it just before you begin a calling sequence and it would be ready when game came in. The tiny little red dot such as used in Mueller scopes also works great at night.
