Remington *97 primer

I was shooting my Huntsman the other day.  I had been using Winchester 209 primers.  I had some Remington *97 primers and tried them.  My groups suddenly improved.  Are those still available?  I am using 100 gr. of Pyrodex and 250 gr. T/C Shockwaves.  Deer season starts Saturday here in Iowa.  I can't wait!

Are those Remington *97 primers like the rem 209-4 primers for 410ga?

I am not familiar with that term ( *97 ). :oops:

I know that the Winchesters are hotter primers than the regular CCI's, and believe even the reg Remington 209's.
In the past, a lot of talk about cooler primers allegedly giving better accuracy. Are you thinking of any possible connection?

Oh, how do those T/C Shockwaves load for you?

I have had these primers around for quite awhile.  I think they probably aren't made anymore.  I used them originally reloading some Remington RXP shotgun hulls.  It seems like they were a little cooler firing than other primers.  Unfortunately I only have about a 100 left.  I have been wanting to try the 209-4 primers but can't seem to find them locally.
