6.8 Remington contender barrel?

I just received the Fox Ridge #32 catalog & they have the 6.8 remington chambered in a contender carbine barrel. Factory 115gn bullets at 2800FPS might work for varmints and deer size game. I have been searching for 7X30 carbine barrel for some time with no luck. Anyone have a 6.8 or any info?

Hi Hendog, Glad to hear that T/C decided to make a barrel in this caliber for the contender.  I had called them and spoke with a kind lady who promised to call me back with an answer.  Never did get a call back, but glad to hear the news.  Thanks, Joe

Hey guys. I have a 6.8 SPC barrel that was a 270 Ren..sent it to SSK and had them rechamber it. I have been sitting on it for a few months, no time or money to play with it. Factory ammo is not out yet...at least around here(St.Louis). Mine is 15" cant wait to get a chance to try it out!!!
