varmint scope for 22 mag

im getting a 22mag rimefire marlin. wondering what kind of scope to put on it? would a varmint scope like a 4x18x42 work or should i stick to a little rimfire scope? i am going to try coyote hunting as well as other fury creatures.

I would think that a good 3-9x40 would be fine for any range that a 22mag is capable of.

Smaller targets require more scope, look at as many scopes as possible and pick the one best suited for your application. Also the more it can do and better spec's cost more.
