22 mag barrel length

I am looking at getting a 22 mag and I don't know if I should go for a 14" or a 10".  Ballistically, are there any major benefits for going with the 14 over the 10".  I would imagine that on this small of a cartridge all of the powder should be burnt up within 10 inches.  What do you think?  What kind of range will this have on small game, assuming hitting them is not an issue?

I think 10 would be enough, Have you considered the 17 HMR? I have on in a 14" and it's fantastic out to 150 yds.  KN
