We don't have that store here, would you mind picking me up one if they are still available?

Please let me know by e-mail if they are.

Thanks,

Galyan's is being closed out by their parent company Dick's Sporting Goods. If your store sold handguns it won't for very much longer. Dick's has a NO HANDGUNS policy.    :(         I was told by the gun department manager at my local Dick’s that they are going to phase out guns altogether and get back to what they started out as, a poor man’s Orvis store.

Are all of the Galyans nation-wide being bought out, or certain stores?  The Galyans here in Saint Paul, MN is where I buy my guns.

Any more information would be great.

Could be it was one of the older non-coated VXII's.  Still nice scopes, and still a pretty good deal, but I think they are equivalent to modern VXI's

plus iiibbb i looked at that site u had posted and th model number on the box started with a 56 and was not on the list that they had for older models. So if that is correct than it is the newer model.

That's the scope I just got.... I really love the eye releif on Leuopolds.  I think it's the most important feature on a scope.

Just bought a new one on E-bay for $195. ib is right on. the eye releif is great at all magnifications.  Bought an Aetec a few years ago because they advertised ,I think 3 1/2" eye relief, well it changes drastically when you change the magnification.  Not so with the Loopy. Congratulations trevor , you got a great deal on a great scope .
Please write me off of GB outdoors, I do not want to be a part of it any more.

Eye releif is the tolerance of how far your pupil can be from the eyepiece and still see an image.  On cheaper scopes this range is generally very narrow.  The Leupold really impressed me in this regard.  I have a $100 Simmons on a .22 I have and it's striking how much more room you have with the Leopold for getting a comfortable shooting position and still see through the scope.

I don't have an answer for your PM j.t.
