phanthom predator

:twisted: anyone ever had any luck with the phanthom predator electronic caller. i've bought one and havent had much :twisted:

just bought one.been out twice.first time used rabit destress about 20 minutes before dark(sort of a last minute hunt)then used howler right at dark.sounded like five or six answered back as they were coming in.like I said it was dark and my hunting partner didn't like the idea of not being able to see good and those things coming in.so we left.2nd time nothing.but I am still trying,and like the call. :lol:

fourth hunt,1st coyote,rabit distress,phantom worked.called for about a minute,waited 45 seconds called for about 3 minutes,waited 30 seconds.did this for 10 minutes before I saw him.after we got him in the truck,went to next stand site did the same thing for 30 minutes then moved again.nothing else,but it was 24 degrees and a 20-25 mile an hour wind.

I have had the phantom predator call for about a year now...thought it would be a great way to get started on predator calling. Being a novice, I experimented between the phantom and a variety of mouth calls for the first couple of months. That was the last time I used the call since it was getting zero results and the mouth calls were putting fur in my scope...electronics have their advantages, but I think they are far outnumbered when compared to the versatility of a good mouth call. Increased exposure time to set out speaker, one directional sound, inability to "talk" the critter in are the top three drawbacks in my book for using an electric. If a person is set on electric calls the phantom call is a good choice, mine is for sale if someone makes a reasonable offer. Good luck and keep us posted on your results.

hey furious1.well I bragged to soon.mine died.press a call button and it cuts off.I called the manufacturer and they are sending another right out,when I get it I am to return the defected one,whitch isn't a bad deal.this is giving me a chance to try hand calls and learn something new.still liked it when it was working.
