I was thinking about buying a new SBE2 but I don't know if they are worth the money. Any feed back on them?

i've not got a sbe2 but my girlfriend shoots the origional. it's fine, good for women, older people, or kids because it's light and yet handles recoil well.

despite what others will claim it WILL hang up (just like any other auto ever made) particularly when you're hunting under adverse conditions and with low powder shells. i've read that the new one has some fancy recoil tech in it which might make it a very good turkey gun or even a goose gun if you're going to shoot the 3 1/2" shells.

i'd say the sbe is the best auto on the market (comparable to the X2) but it's twice as much as a good pump and less reliable.

I just sold my SBE. Mainly because I didn't need it. It was too expensive to just sit in the safe. Mine never ever jammed and was a great shotgun to shoot. I have 870 3.5" guns for turkeys or geese but have found out that 2 3/4 or 3" shells do just as good with High brass 2 3/4 patterning better than anything. The SBE does not like trap loads or any other low power shells. The lowest load I could get to work in mine was a game load which did great and never jammed. If you got the cash for one their a great shotgun. In our duck blinds we have found that they seem to be one of those love em' or wouldn't have one guns. But most of the duckers in this area like the Win. Super X2. I still say you can't beat a Benelli though.

one thing you need to know about the sbe or the super90 if your only gonna hunt ducks with it don't waste your money on an sbe!!!!!i have owned both the sbe and the super 90 and in my opinion benneli is the most over rated and over priced gun on the market today you can get a 3.5 inch in anything browning remington mossberg the list is endless why spend over 1,0dollarsrs on a gun like that when one of the other brands will do the same job in terms of putting game in the bag the bolt in the bennelli in both my guns i have had problems with it not shutting properly because of the way the bolt pivots hard to explain but if you have looked at one you will know what i am talking about but if you should decide to get one the one thing that benneli has over any shotgun maker is the is the ease of breaking the gun down for cleaning because know matter what kind of auto loader you shoot they must be kept clean!!!! other wise they will not function properly and they will jam up all the time as for the benneli they do jam up not allot but they do both of mine have and any one to say that benelis don't jam up or any auto loader for that matter would be a very inacurate statement so don't let any salesman try to tell that they don't cause they do!!! In my opinion the reason most people get benelis is in most part prestige bbecausethey are one of the most if not the most expensive auto loader there is.and should you by one and have any probs with it good luck having benelli due any wwarrantywork on it you might just as well go by a new gun cause its gonna be a while uuntilyou get that one back.and keep this in mind to if anything happens to the barrel wich did with my super 90 figure on about 425.00 for a new barrel and thats for the 3 inch the sbe will run you over 500.00!!! you can by a brand new gun for that! Case and point over priced and way over rated don't waste your money!

I could not disagree with encore31 more, I just bought a SBEII and love it I bought it because several of my friends had the SBE and loved theirs one friend sold his BGH to buy the benelli.

reasons I went with the SBEII 1- reliability they may not be perfect but more so than a gas operated auto. 2- I wanted one shotgun for everything so far I have hunted pheasant, duck, goose with it and will use it for doves next year. 3- my dad taught me to buy the very best that I could afford at the time and I would never be dissapointed and in my opinion the SBEII is the best autoloader around.

I own an old style SBE not the SBEII and I absolutley love it. My dad owns the same gun. It's a very well rounded gun and it suits my needs for everything I hunt whether it be small game, waterfowl, or upland birds. I was sold on the Benelli because I did not want a gas operated shotgun which I've seen fail too many times for my liking. The inertia operation hasn't failed me yet. I also bought it because like 444Marlin, my dad told me to buy the best right from the start and not to screw around with guns that are going to let you down.
