Ruger M77 Magnum
« on: December 06, 2004, 11:20:25 PM »
I must confess that I can't ever see myself having a legitimate need for one of these, but I've always wanted one. I planning to sell one of my older guns next year, and I could get the rifle after that. I'd appreciate any comments from someone who has one. I would get it in .458 Lott. Any comments on the caliber are welcome also.
Thanks.

daddywpb,

The first thing to do is replace the "lawyer" trigger that comes with the Ruger with one from Timney.  Not hard and afterward you have an excellent adjustable trigger to go along with an excellent rifle.  I got three of them and wouldn’t trade them for any standard offering from Winchester, CZ, etc.  Lawdog

For Christmas, my wife is getting me a Timney trigger for the M77 MK2 in 30/06 that I just got. I love that woman!
