Do you reload? If you're shooting a stock 357 barrel, you might find that a 200 grain bullet and 3.5 grains of Unique will shoot pretty good. This is a load that equals an old police load, drives a 200 grainer to 750 fps or so. I've tried it in my 357 Max, but I think the chamber is too long now for accuracy from a 38 Special case. I don't know all the places 200 grain 357 bullets can be found, Magnus Bullet Co has a nice round nose version, Lyman still makes a 190 grain mold that is the same as the Magnus bullet. I am shooting htis in my MAx, but it would be neat to find a load that takes less that 5 grains of powder, a good cheap shooter. Such a load should only make about 800 fps even out of a rifle barrel, a nice soft plinker.
