What happened to the 1894M?
« on: December 17, 2004, 10:28:34 AM »
Anybody shooting one?  I've heard very little about them and have never seen one in person.  I just love my 39A.  I can't figure out why Marlin doesn't have some kind of lever action .22 WMR in their catalog.  Any thoughts?

Not since 1988 :( !  Any ideas why?  Do you have any feeding problems with yours?  I thought I heard this was a problem with them, but could be mistaken.

They made this gun from the 1894 frame, not a 39 frame and my personal opinion is that they had some feeding problems with the feed guide and ejectors.I've seen quite a few that wouldn't feed.
I think they were a really good gun and I wish they would make another one in .22 MAG as well as .17 HMR.

That's why I was asking.  Winchester and Henry both have lever guns for the 17HMR.  I just couldn't figure out why Marlin wasn't following suit.  Thanks ken w.

I had one, I soo got read of it. it wouldn't feed or eject any of the current 22mag bullets and I tried eveyone on the market. The open sights were wrong never cold get the rifle to zero at 50 yards. I mounted a scope and that took care of the problem. Finaly got the ejection and feeding done after 2 trips to the factory.
