Quite honestly there are NO good $200 spotting scopes. It is highly doubtful you'll see those bullet holes at 300 yards if that's all the money you spend. If you're shooting is confined to a 100 yard range they will do OK but a quality rifle scope will show you more than any of the $200 spotting scopes.

I've looked thru a ton of them folks had at ranges and generally speaking I can see the bullet holes better thru my rifle scope than their spotting scope. I use a B&L now Bushnell Elite 20-60x80MM and with it you can see those bullet holes at 300 yards. But it will set you back at least double what you're wanting to spend.

A spotting scope should be a once in a life time investment. Invest wisely.

I have a Burris Landmark spotting scope 15X45X60mm it is under $200.00 and I can see .223 cal holes in my target at 200 yards. Works for me.  :D

Well Swival Hips.....It's true you ARE alive and well??????
Seriously, buddy, I've got one of those inexpensive spotting scopes and find my rifle scopes to do a much better job (Bushnell Trophy and Elite 3200).  Sorry to say you just can't buy a good $200 dollar scope like Graybeard has so apptly put it!  I've got mine turned down to minimum 10X and it's just OK at 100 yds.
