E.R. Shaw barrels

Any-one out there have any experience dealing with E.R. Shaw?  
Their prices are pretty cheap. Are the barrels any good?  I don't
mean for bench-rest accuracy, just decent hunting accuracy from
a sporter wt. barrel.    Any feed-back, good or bad, would be greatly
appreciated.  :D

 BTW, The reason I ask is I've got a model 70 in bad need of
 a new tube.

Here is the guy to talk to... chris@ershawbarrels.com  Chris is excellent with fast responses..and will do anything that your heart desires.  I love my Whelen Improved.....Now I am thinking of what to send them next.

I had a siamese mauser action barreled with an er shaw barrel.  It is button rifled and leaves a very smooth finish in the barrel.  The rifling might be a little shallower than cut rifling, but I am not sure.  I am satisfied with the barrel and their work.

Shaw barrels are just fine and they are a bunch cheaper.  Won't win the local BR50 match most likely but will easily do what a hunter needs and then a bit.

I recently had them re-barrel a Remington action, from the day I mailed it  to them to the day I recieved it back was less than a month. I have not had a chance to shoot it yet, trying to find the right stock for it, being it is a #5 contour.Like Robert said, Chris is the man to talk to.He was very helpful  with me, and simplfied  every thing I was looking for. And for the money IMO can't be beat. :grin:

It was kinda nice to see a major shooting magazine[Rifle Shooter] do an article where ER Shaw barrels were used. It was the article about the 25 SAUM. I, personally, have had no problems with Shaw barrels. Of course I havent had much problems with the other makers either! Good quality HUNTING barrels. For the benchrest trade? Stay with Hart or McGowan.
