encore barrels?
« on: December 05, 2004, 01:14:28 PM »
I just figured out a way to get me a new encore handgun In MD (legally)
now I have to figure what barrel to get and length. this has to be a custom setup from SSK.
JD Told me ssk Can send the required fired cases and I talked to the person in charge of MD handgun roster. she told me that the visual lock will meat the state requirements for integrated locking system. so I am almost all set

I was thinking about getting a 7x57 in 14 inch but I was also thinking about a 454 so I can use the 45 colt dies and cast bullets that I already have.

then on the other hand I was thinking about selling the custom barrel and using the money to by the 15 inch 209x50 M.L. barrel ( this is the only barrel I can use to hunt with in my part of MD) If I go this route I will need a barrel that will move fast and get a good price for it

It would be my guess that a .454 barrel would be eayser to move than a 7 x 57 in a handgun lenth. Another good choice would be the .357 max. of a .44 mag. if your want to sell it right away.
