My tasco 10x25 failed my 25 foot drop test
I was out hunting from my stand this morning, I took them out to check out a truck that was driving trough my hunting area. it turned out to be MD'S DNR officer (no worries for me) when I went to put them back up they slipped out of my hands and hit the deck for  25 feet up.

Now I have a nice rubber coated baby rattle. the prisums broke loose and one of the tubes are loose.

I now need to find a good replacement. now bear in mind what I mostly use them for is checking things out (like the DNR officer and people that are in the area) and not scanning for animals as much.
I now need a new set and like to stay with the compact style.
what would you people recommend for a hunter on a tight budget?

My 5 year old son has a set of Simmons but they are not as good as the tasco not that they are all that :-)

I bought a pair of Bushnell Explorers from SWFA for a truck bino, they work well and are priced right for an economy bino.
