what will it do to shoot rifled slugs through a rifled barrel
i am going hog hunting (at a place which allows shot gun only)
this weekend. i bought a box of 20 rifled slugs before i fount
out i need to shoot sabots
Will i tear up the gun?

Come on now...........Probably the worst that will happen is you will lead-up the barrel and as such your accuracy will suffer. Why not just buy some sabots and give the foster slugs to someone that can use them? They are pretty cheap (less than 5 bucks) for a box of 5 slugs and if you're planning on hunting you should be sighting that gun before you go hunting, correct?

yes i agree i did sight it in with sabots
but i did not know till recently (after i bought the rfled slugs)
that you are not supposed to use them in a rifled barrel
but where we hunt is public army core land and you will
probably shoot (AT) approx 10-20 hogs on one island alone
so i need to take as many shells as possible

The regular slugs probably will not hit to same point of aim as the sabots, but they won't hurt anything. Better check them before you hunt. Give the gun a good scrubbing with a bronze brush when you are done.
