CorBon bullets through a Deerfield
« on: January 12, 2005, 08:38:26 AM »
Does anybody have any data or deer hunting experiences shooting CorBon bullets from a Ruger Deerfield?  I have practiced with the 240gr bullets that CorBon makes and contacted them to get a muzzle velocity. They said the muzzle velocity should be around 1,800fps.  They did not give me any ft/lb data or data at 50 or 100yds.  I have not shot a deer with this bullet and was wondering what performance should I expect.  The bullet shoots very well at 50 and 100 yards.  I tried the 260gr bullets and they did not pattern well.
