Deputy may be telling the truth shooting a BP Xpress by Ultimate Firearms.  I have talked to the company tech guy and the gun will probably do it under the right conditions.  However, the velocity and energy would be almost non-existent.

at 600yds you would have 980fps  670fpe with the 300 grain sst and 4 pellet charge enough for deer on a calm day

If all things were right yes!  i mean 100 percent right yes this summer iam to do some serious long range work with it! i have a new mount from ken farrel that has 25 moa built in and i will use my 6-24 burris on it and i have already secured a nice farm that has out too 800yds i can use safely! mind you if i had a steady bench  and the bags etc, if i felt that good karma i would and will but the first test will be long range woodchucks then we will see!  stay tunned

I will own BP Xpress at least by next muzzleloader season but probably MUCH sooner.  That kind of shooting with a 300 gr. projectile is TOO COOL!!!
