Well, sure was a nice day today weatherwise. Just got in from running the line, and sure feel better than I did yesterday.
Must have been the oatmeal I had before I left. And the exercise yesterday helped too.
A few more sets are out, and I saw 4-5 hog. Little rooters just the right size to kill and eat! All I had was my .22 however so I let them make it. This year so far I am making 100% Cat sets, with my 18 year old cat urine, ground beaver castor mixed in and shaken every day,
now the castor is disolved.
When I smell it now it still has the unmistakable scent of cat pee.
Beaver meat that has been in the freezer since last year, covered with veg. oil to keep it from freezer burn. Then with a little water with sodium benzoate mixed in, and set a while. Feathers as a visual attractor make the set complete. I am proud of my new bait making interest and thank you Asa, for your help too.
It is just a foot line and a short line at that, but it is a good one.
I hope to get as many cat sets out as I have strength to run every day, then include sets for coon, and misc. critters.
Good trapping ya'll
