I ordered a 7mm BR Encore barrel within the last year.  They had it in stock and I had it within several days.  EABCO also handles orders as the Fox Ridge Custom Shop.  If you are ordering a Custom Barrel from the Custom Shop (Fox Ridge), it may take 8 to 10 weeks.

Why would you even want to order one from EABCO? We have one of the largest TC dealers in the nation as a sponsor of this site. Ed's TCs. He beats EABCO's prices and is a heck of a lot nicer guy to deal with than Eben. Dunno what they have done to obtain a new source for the custom barrels "they made" since Virgin Valley has stopped making them. Yeah Eben swore to me "he" made them but VVCG really did it seems. Now they are out of business so dunno what he does.

Check prices with Ed.

GB,
You are ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!  Ed does have the best prices.  In fact, I have his site as a favorite to use for price comparison on barrels I bid on through E-bay.

I never have purchased anything through Ed, but it wasn't for lack of trying.  I e-mailed him on 2 separate occasions about purchasing 2 different barrels; he never replied.  SO, I bought them both from members of this forum through your classifieds.

I'm still looking for a couple of barrels (22 Hornet, 7mm Mag and/or 300 WinMag) and definitely plan to give Ed another chance.

By the way, THANK YOU Graybeard!  rummaging through new posts on your site is always the highlight of my evening.

Ed is a busy man. For his REAL job he is a CPA. During tax season that means he is hard to reach for sure. It could be you send e-mail to wrong address as he has changed e-mail addresses. Current one is on his web site. Personally I just call him at the numbers on his site and if he isn't there leave a message and he always calls back.

As busy as he is he still makes gunshows many weekends a year and takes a couple vacations to keep his sanity. All of this does at times delay a response from him. But unless you've just absolutely positively gotta have it rat now he is still worth waiting for.

Ordering a barrel from Custom Shop thru Ed not only saves you money over going direct it usually takes about 2 weeks off delivery time.

I have bought many barrels from Ed.  He has always answered the phone when I called and I have the barrel within a few days of calling him.  Maybe I am just lucky.

I tried e-mailing Ed once -- didn't work -- Then I called him a couple of weeks ago to order a .233 barrel,  48 hours later the barrel was in my possession -- ordered a .22 match last Thursday, should have it today (I know I will) -- The prices can't be beat anywhere and his inventory is incredible.  His web site needs to be updated but when you receive your product from him, it includes his latest inventory.  He'll  get more of my $$$ as I try to cure this "singleshot illness".   :)

Just as has been stated.......Ed is mighty tough to beat! His inventory changes alot faster than his website; if you want something that isn't on the site, give him a call! He's the fastest service I've dealt with for T/C products. And a heck of a nice guy, too!

I didn't know you could order ANY custom barrel thru Ed.  I thought you were limited to those listed.   He should say so on his website.

Ed is a full line Thompson Center Dealer. You can order anything TC makes to include the TC Fox Ridge Custom Shop from him. NOT other cusstom makers such as SSK. For those only what he has in stock at any given time can you get.

Ed's inventory changes daily. He buys, sells and trades barrels every single day. Keeping the website up to date and complete would be a full time job for someone and thus prices would go up. I think he does good to do a hard copy update weekly. But it sure would be nice if he could figure away to get that weekly hard copy update onto the site.

Well I just called Ed's; $215 for 26" bull 22-250 & $225 for 26" bull 204 ruger. I think I'll order from him. He's closer to me then eabco so I will get it faster. I just need to figure out which barrel I want for sure I change my mind daily, 204,22-250, or 270. I ordered my pepper laminet stock and forend today so I need to make my mind up fast or I'll have a rifle and no barrel.   :)

I am going to join the chorus and say I enjoy dealing with Ed.  Last time I dealt with him he didn't have the .222 carbine barrel I wanted and is keeping his eyes open for me.  Wal Mart isn't likely to do that.
Thanks Ed!
