Lockable Gun Case Mandatory for Air Rifles?

In CA, would I have to transport my RWS 350 inside a locked container, or is that law only enforced for firearms that use gunpowder?  I'm not too familiar with the legal formalities (if any) concerning air guns. TIA :D   Patriot
