I chronographed a few rounds from my Para Ordinance C645 today (an altogether pleasant gun to shoot, I might add). Under a Hornady 185gr. XTP JHP I used 8.7gr. of Accurate #5, ignited with a CCI 300 primer. That combination garnered me 790 fps. Then I got 911 fps with 9.5gr. of the same powder. However, 10.5gr. got me only 904 fps. I'm thinking that this gun will only be able to burn about 9.5gr of this powder before the bullet leaves the three inch barrel (one of the three inches is taken up with the cartridge, so its really only a two inch barrel). When I switched to the 200gr. XTP bullet 8.5grains produced only 779 fps.
