Rather than just ordering a stock Encore and then getting custom work done on it later, I suppose I would save money by ordering a slightly customized new Encore. I don't actually need much custom stuff. I am contemplating just (1) a better quality barrel, (2) adjust or stone the factory trigger, and (3) maybe one of those barrel-hanger things that floats the forend, whatever those are called. Do you have a recommendation about where to go to order the gun? (I already know about the T/C Custom shop at Fox Ridge)

Try EABCO, they provide about any custom work you want done on an Encore. I have a couple of their custom pistols with them having done the triggers and barrels, etc. These were purchased a couple years ago and both shoot very well. Ed

I have barrels from all of them. Personally, this is just me, mainly because of value, I prefer BullBerry and Virgin Valley.

pick up your new action from a local shop, and then order a set of custom grip/ forearms from Georgia Jim, and a custom barrel from OTT(on target tech).
you could fix it the way ya wanted in laminate furniture, and have a perfect chamber cut to your specs, or made from dummy cartridges you send to mike. he uses a patented process that uses no reamers to chamber.

you could also get a encore action from "ed's contenders" in oklahoma

Sorry to break it to ya Spyro but while you were away on hiatus hunting and shooting VVCG went out of business. Folded up. Busted. GONE. No longer an option. Now who in the world will make your next .416 Rigby Encore. :eek:
